For the first time in Kazakhstan, the city of Shchuchinsk hosts the Biathlon World Championship!

For the first time in Kazakhstan, in the city of Shchuchinsk, the Biathlon World Championship among juniors is held until March 12. Athletes from 40 countries of the world take part in the competition.

“For the country, this is a very big, grandiose event, since no such major competitions have been held in winter sports since the 2011 Universiade. These competitions will provide an opportunity to popularize winter sports, in this case biathlon. On the first day of the competition, a mixed relay will take place, after which individual races will begin and the competition will end with 4x4 relay races. And the last day is the pursuit race,” said the director of the Olympic Training Center Ardak Tulendin.
